Singer (think: “Cry”) John “Johnnie” Alvin Ray was born on January 10, 1927 in Hopewell, Oregon. He said, “I am constantly asked why I never made other films after 'There's No Business Like Show Business,' the answer is I was never asked.” [That can do it.]... Mr. Ray died on February 24, 1990 in Los Angeles, California.
