Writer Thomas Carlyle was born on December 4, 1795 in Ecclefechan, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. He said, “If Jesus Christ were to come today, people would not even crucify him. They would ask him to dinner, and hear what he had to say, and make fun of it." [You mean that they wouldn't want to know the truth?]... Mr. Carlyle died on February 5, 1881 in London, England.
