Dr. William Campbell Douglass II reports that there is a correlation between spit and breast cancer. He says that “according to Charles Streckfus, a professor at the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston, ‘Breast cancer triggers a change in the type and amount of proteins in the secretions from the salivary glands.’"

Dr. Douglass also said that a test for this “could make the mammogram a thing of the past.” Of course, the bottleneck in this is the role of the FDA. It could take MANY (as many as 5 to 10) years before it is approved by the FDA. “Our tired, dusty government system is still locked in the days of the horse-and-buggy... [I’m] so mad about mammograms and the FDA that I could spit”. Now, if we could get enough women to do so...
