Actor (in My Favorite Brunette) Bob Hope was born as Leslie Townes Hope on May 29, 1903 in Eltham, London, England. He said, “You know you are getting old when the candles cost more than the cake." [You just need a bigger cake.]... Mr. Hope died on July 27, 2003 in Toluca Lake, Los Angeles, California.
