News journalist Arnold Eric Sevareid was born on November 26, 1912 in Velva, North Dakota. He said, “I have never quite grasped the worry about the power of the press. After all, it speaks with a thousand voices, in constant dissonance.” [It's probably more in the millions, now... Yeah!]... Mr. Sevareid died on July 9, 1992 in Washington, D.C.
