Actor (in Rhythm on the Range and The Roy Rogers Show) and singer Roy Rogers was born as Leonard Franklin Slye on November 5, 1911 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He said, “People are always asking me why they don't make Westerns like they used to." [Perhaps because we don’t ride so many horses anymore?]... Mr. Rogers died on July 6, 1998 in Apple Valley, California.
