Naturalist and essayist (of “Birds and bees and other studies in nature” (1896)) John Burroughs was born on April 3, 1837 near Roxbury, New York. He said, “How beautiful the leaves grow old. How full of light and color are their last days." [And so could it be with us.]... Mr. Burroughs died on March 29, 1921 on a train.
