Theatrical set designer Lorraine Malcom George was born on November 28, 1920 in Waskom, Texas. Along with his wife Johnny Nelson George, he founded Theater Inc. on Chelsea, Houston, Texas around 1952. (Theater Inc. burned in 1966). According to his second wife Jeannette (as quoted in the Houston Chronicle on April 1, 2004), Mr. George said, “If your name is Lorraine and you grow up in an East Texas town, then you learn to box.” [Or study magic.]... Mr. George died on March 29, 2004 in Houston, Texas.
