Zoot Sims died today – 23 years ago

Jazz tenor saxophonist and soprano saxophonist John Haley “Zoot” Sims was born on October 29, 1925 in Inglewood, California. He said, “I practice when I'm loaded.” [Maybe he didn't say much since he had that sax in his mouth.]... Mr. Sims died on March 23, 1985 in New York City, New York.
