U.S. President (27th, 1909-1913) William Howard Taft was born on September 15, 1857 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He said, “Socialism proposes no adequate substitute for the motive of enlightened selfishness that to-day is at the basis of all human labor and effort, enterprise and new activity." [And forever.]... Mr. Taft died on March 8, 1930 in Washington, D.C.
