Erik Satie died today – 83 years ago

Composer (of the Gymnopédies, the Gnossienne, and Je Te Veux) Erik Satie was born as Alfred Éric Leslie Satie on May 17, 1866 in Honfleur, Calvados, France. He said, “The musician is perhaps the most modest of animals, but he is also the proudest. It is he who invented the sublime art of ruining poetry.” [Au contraire. Music would improve a lot of it.]... Mr. Satie died on July 1, 1925 in Paris, France.
