Alfred Hitchcock died today – 28 years ago

Author (of “Champagne” (1928)), actor (in “Rebecca” (1940)), director (of “The Birds” (1963)), and producer (of “Family Plot” (1976)) Alfred Joseph Hitchcock was born on August 13, 1899 in Leytonstone, London, England. He said, “Television is like the invention of indoor plumbing. It didn't change people's habits. It just kept them inside the house." [But both did allow people not to walk very far to get what they wanted. And I'm so grateful for at least one of them.]... Mr. Hitchcock died on April 29, 1980 in Bel Air, Los Angeles, California.
