Composer (of “Le sacre du printemps" or "The Rite of Spring" (1913)) and conductor (in the Los Angeles Philharmonic, sometimes) Igor Fyodorovich Stravinsky was born on June 17, 1882 in Oranienbaum (Lomonosov), Russia. He said, “Too many pieces of music finish too long after the end." [Speak for yourself.]... Mr. Stravinsky died on April 6, 1971 in New York City, New York.
