Piet Hein died Thursday – 12 years ago

Inventor (of a perpetual calendar), poet (of “Grooks” and “Grooks”), and creator (of the games Hex, Tangloids, TacTix, and the Soma cube) Piet Hein was born on December 16, 1905 in Copenhagen, Denmark. He said,

“People are self-centered
to a nauseous degree.
They will keep on about themselves
while I'm explaining me.”

[He was so clever.]... Mr. Hein died on April 17, 1996 in Funen, Denmark.
