Author (of the poem “Ars Poetica”) Archibald MacLeish was born on May 7, 1892 in Glencoe, Illinois. He said, “What is freedom? Freedom is the right to choose: the right to create for oneself the alternatives of choice." [And don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.]... Mr. MacLeish died on April 20, 1982 in Boston, Massachusetts.
