Inventor (of the Audion vacuum tube) Lee De Forest was born on August 26, 1873 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He said, “While theoretically and technically television may be feasible, commercially and financially it is an impossibility." [He just didn't realize that people would find enough junk to sell on it.]... Mr. deForest died on June 30, 1961 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.
