Sculptor (of “Cloud Shepherd”), painter, and founding member of the Dada movement Jean (Hans) Arp was born on September 16, 1886 in Strasbourg, France. He said, “Soon silence will have passed into legend. Man has turned his back on silence. Day after day he invents machines and devices that increase noise and distract humanity from the essence of life, contemplation, meditation." [Shhhh. Listen. There’s a lot of truth there.]... Mr. Arp died on June 7, 1966 in Basel, Switzerland.
