Guitarist Chester Burton "Chet" Atkins was born on June 20, 1924 in Luttrell, Tennessee. He said, “A long apprenticeship is the most logical way to success. The only alternative is overnight stardom, but I can't give you a formula for that." [Darn!]... Mr. Atkins died on June 30, 2001 in Nashville, Tennessee.
