Dancer (in Shall We Dance), actor (in Finian’s Rainbow), and singer Fred Astaire was born as Frederick Austerlitz on May 10, 1899 in Omaha, Nebraska. He said, “Disco is just jitterbug." [Perhaps the way he did it.]... Mr. Astaire died on June 22, 1987 in Los Angeles, California.
