Singer (of "Make the World Go Away" (1965) and a few more) Eddy Arnold was born as Richard Edward Arnold on May 15, 1918 in Henderson, Tennessee. He said, "When I finally put my guitar in the case the last time, I want to be remembered just as a singer, not as a country singer or pops singer - just a singer." [I hope that he gets his wish.]... Mr. Arnold died on May 8, 2008 in Franklin, Tennessee.
