Classical pianist (especially of the works of Alexander Scriabin and Sergei Rachmaninoff) Ruth Laredo was born on November 20, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan. She said, “Great music gives us spiritual sustenance and gives us hope.” [And it’s inspiring, too.]... Ms. Laredo died on May 25, 2005 in New York City, New York.
