Author (of “Stranger in a Strange Land” (1961) and “The Moon is a Harsh Mistress” (1966)) and coiner of the word “TANSTAAFL” Robert Anson Heinlein was born on July 7, 1907 in Butler, Missouri. He said, “One could write a history of science in reverse by assembling the solemn pronouncements of highest authority about what could not be done and could never happen." [Will someone please try it?]... Mr. Heinlein died on May 8, 1988 in Carmel, California.
