U.S. Un-Civil War Confederate General Thomas Jonathan ”Stonewall” Jackson was born on January 21, 1824 in Clarksburg, Virginia (now West Virginia). He said, “It is painful enough to discover with what unconcern they speak of war and threaten it. I have seen enough of it to make me look upon it as the sum of all evils.” [Yup.]... Mr. Jackson died on May 10, 1863 in Guinea Station, Virginia.
