Astronomer (formulating a heliocentric cosmology) and author (of “De revolutionibus orbium coelestium”) Nicholas Copernicus was born on February 19, 1473 in Toruń (Thorn), Royal Prussia, Poland. He said, “Near the sun is the center of the universe." [Well, you don’t get them all right, do you?]... Mr. Copernicus died on May 24, 1543 in Frombork (Frauenburg), Warmia, Poland.
