Author (of the plays “You Can’t Take It With You” and “The Man Who Came To Dinner”) George Simon Kaufman was born on November 16, 1889 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He said, “I like terra firma; the more firma, the less terra." [Perhaps he never tried a cruise ship.]... Mr. Kaufman died on June 2, 1961 in New York City, New York.
